Conservative Judaism: Always Wrestling

September 5 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Metaphors for the High Holiday Experience

“What is Conservative Judaism, anyway?” For 5780 join us to experience an invaluable resource put out by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America.  “Conservative Judaism Today and Tomorrow,” is a collection of short essays by Chancellor Arnold M. Eisen—seventh chancellor of The Jewish Theological Seminary and one of the world’s foremost authorities on American Judaism.  From hospitality, to learning, to prayer, to tzedakah, to respectful relationships and more, the conversations elicited by the chancellor’s essays provide seekers with a foundation of what Conservative Judaism is, the importance of its continued precense within the Jewish landscape, and what it means to carry its mantle out into the world.

This Adult Ed class takes place at The Crafted Kup on Raymond Ave, for more information contact Rabbi Victor at rabbi@tbeny.org.  Website resource: http://www.jtsa.edu/on-conservative-judaism
