Community Selichot program
September 21 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Saturday, September 21 at 8pm in partnership with Congregation Shir Chadash
This year as we welcome the High Holy Days for Selichot we learn about immigrants as individuals rather than as an issue. We will listen to stories and focus on personal challenges and triumphs. Our society tends to lose sight of individuals when we turn people into issues. Immigrants, (members of our own families or members of our community) have stories that can help us focus on our journeys at this time of year for often times the stories speak more to our own experiences than we may realize.
Havdalah and Light refreshments, Program with discussion, Musical Selichot Service with clergy from both synagogues.
The Selichot program and service is a collaboration between Temple Beth-El and Congregation Shir Chadash. Rabbi Daniel Víctor, Rabbi Daniel Polish and Cantor Gail Hirshenfang participate in this annual event.
