    Shofar Over the Hudson combines the sound of the Shofar with the natural beauty of the Hudson River.  For centuries the sound of the Shofar has provided a moment of awakening and inspiration for the Jewish people.

    With expanding membership Temple Beth El needed a larger building.  In 1959 the congregation moved from Montgomery Street to our present home on 118 South Grand Avenue.

  • Goals

    A house of prayer: aiding our members in their search for meaning in life, fulfilling the spiritual needs and longing of our Jewish community, providing a path that brings us closer to each other and to God.

SHOFAR OVER THE HUDSON – 11:30am Sunday, September 17, 2017 outside the Children’s Museum pavilion at Waryas Park, Poughkeepsie.   Sing, dance, bring a shofar.  Join the bicycle ride to Shofar Over the Hudson departing from the Dutchess Rail Trail at 10am, behind Gold’s Gym,Titusville Rd.  ALL INFO HERE

ALL Friday evening services are at 7:30pm, including first Fridays

Saturdays at 9:30am

Morning minyan held weekdays at 7:30am. Evening / Sunday minyan held by request.  

High Holiday Service Times

Normal business hours are 9 to 5 Monday through Thursday and until noon on Friday.
