    Shofar Over the Hudson combines the sound of the Shofar with the natural beauty of the Hudson River.  For centuries the sound of the Shofar has provided a moment of awakening and inspiration for the Jewish people.

  • History

    With expanding membership Temple Beth El needed a larger building.  In 1959 the congregation moved from Montgomery Street to our present home on 118 South Grand Avenue.

  • Goals

    A house of prayer: aiding our members in their search for meaning in life, fulfilling the spiritual needs and longing of our Jewish community, providing a path that brings us closer to each other and to God.

From Berle to Borat:  What's so funny about Being Jewish

Join Suzanne Turrisi to explore the history of Jewish humor from Vaudeville to television to contemporary Jewish comedy.  $18 donation per person requested.  Sundays, June 3, 10, 24 at 7pm.  Reserve your space!



ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 7:30pm.  Review the year, vote on the budget and a new Board of Trustees.  Your vote matters, please join us.

8:00pm Friday evening, 9:30am Saturdays

7:30am weekday morning minyan. Evening/Sunday minyan by request.  


Office Hours

Normal business hours are 9 to 5 Monday through Thursday and until noon on Friday.  

The OFFICE IS CLOSED on Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day
